Description |
J. S. Bach's suites for unaccompanied violin are mainstays of music literature. Bach's ability to insert so much beauty, depth and variety in a single line of music makes these works masterpieces of the art of unaccompanied solo music. "In transcribing these works I have attempted to remain true to the composer's intention while making the music as clarinet friendly as possible. In Bach's Chaconne for violin, there were some passages that were so intensely violinistic it was necessary to remove them". (John Gibson) |
