| This series of five pieces for flute duet is an adult's journey to the land of children. Many composers have written music for and about children. The music chosen is not music written for children to play so much as vivid musical descriptions of children's thoughts and play times. It includes music from Bizet's Children's Games, Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, Schumann's Scenes from Childhood, Tchaikowsky's Album for the Young, and Debussy's Children's Corner. The audio samples are for the flute and clarinet version, but all other versions are similar, but carefully adjusted to work with the instruments used. |
