Description
Clara Schumann's Trio Op. 17 originally written for violin, cello, and piano now transcribed for Bb clarinet, cello and piano. Clara Schumann was Robert Schumann's wife and a fine pianist and composer in her own right. This is warm, beautiful music and well suited to this combination. This sheet music includes separate parts. Four movements.

Franklin Stover - " in transcribing the violin part to clarinet, did you make available the full range of the clarinet (including notes below G)?" No, I kept the low range of the violin as written with the lowest note G. There may be a few places in the piece that would benefit from the clarinet's lower range, but mostly it has to do with Schumann's own blending and tonalities. It would only add notes a 4th lower and the cello covers those as well. The short answer is that I could have, but chose not to. Thanks! John
